Privacy Policy

This page explains what data is collected when you visit rhinefallsfromzurich.com, what it is used for, and the choices you have. We deliberately keep this short — the site uses no analytics tracker of our own, no advertising network, and no email-capture forms.
1. What we collect
We collect only what is technically necessary to serve the site:
- Server access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent, and referring URL. Held by our hosting provider (Netlify) for diagnostic and abuse-prevention purposes; typically retained for 30 days.
- No first-party cookies. We do not set any cookies of our own.
- No analytics platform. We do not run Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any equivalent script.
2. Third-party services (affiliate widgets)
To display tour availability and process bookings, this site embeds widgets and analytics from GetYourGuide (https://www.getyourguide.com). When those widgets load or you click through to a booking, GetYourGuide may set its own cookies and process your IP address, browser fingerprint, and referral source under its own privacy policy. We receive aggregate, non-personal commission reports from GetYourGuide (e.g. number of clicks, number of bookings, total commission). We do not receive personal data about individual visitors from these reports.
3. Web fonts
This site loads the Sora and Inter typefaces from Google Fonts. Google logs IP addresses of font requests under its own privacy policy; see policies.google.com/privacy.
4. Your GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to request:
- Access to any personal data we hold about you
- Correction or deletion of that data
- Restriction or objection to processing
- Data portability
- To lodge a complaint with your national data-protection authority
Because we do not maintain any first-party visitor database, the practical impact is limited to server access logs. To exercise these rights, please email us at the address in §5.
